Saw a pair of couple at the Legal Aid Clinic (LAC).
their 4-5 yrs old kid was playing ball outside the LAC.

we played with the kid.
he was really, really, really...
hyperactive.

it must be a challenging task for his parents
to raise this lil' boy up
the obstacles that they have faced
n also, to look after this playful and cute lil' boy

what makes it even harder is the fact that...
both of them are deaf/dumb...

many times we are unaware of how lucky we are

it makes me ponder.

YELLO!!!!

been wanting to update this space here but i've been quite busy w work.
Anyway, I just got back from a business trip few days ago.

Stayed in a 5 stars hotel in JB a.k.a Thistle Hotel
:)

hehe... looks comfy aye?
Upon reaching JB,we actually worked til the middle of the night
and woke up early in the morning :O
But thank God that our work got settled much earlier than expected.
which means we managed to get some time off and explore abit of JB :)

Other than that, I have also started my legal aid duty...

Here's a pic of my group mates!
I must say that this group of people is really a fun bunch!
we are gonna work together for a duration of 14 weeks
to help those needy
:)

Besides that, I have also attended the Young Lawyers Committee Social Event
last nite @ werner's, changkat bukit bintang

it was a fun night catching up with some old friends from uni
and also got to know some new friends too !

and not forgetting...
celebrated siew li's birthday too @ Frames, sunway pyramid

It was a great night out. totally love this place.
the ambiance. the songs. the place.
but one thing the management should note is to improve on their services.

they actually mixed up with our booking..
we booked to sit indoor but they gave us outdoor instead!
But luckily inside still have some tables.. if not....

and u know, the moment we asked the staff to bring out the cake .. they actually bring out the box and plastic bag :S

i'm back in kl and of coz, back to bloggin' :)
I had an awesome trip back in KK ...

catch up with all the loved ones..
spent a night @ kundasang with family,
enjoyed all the yummylicious food
that cannot be eaten elsewhere but KK :)
Did all the crazy roadtrips
up to the hill and across the sea ( seriously!)

meet pigraffe, a rare species of pig/giraffe?!
(our faithful companion that accompany us to most of the roadtrips)

one would think that the size of the burger is big..

To my surprise, the size is pretty tiny..

Anyway...it is not bad..
worth trying
the taste of the chicken patty is marinated pretty well..
The price is abit on the steep side for the size of it
(pricing @ RM12.50 inclusive of govt. tax)

I remember I used to eat Subway alot when I was in UK
my favourite goes to Meatball Marinara and Chicken and Bacon Ranch..

After not eating Subway sandwiches for 1 yr +, I've decided to makan again..
kinda craving for it...

Anyway... I ordered "Turkey breast and turkey Ham Sandwich"
which turns out to be just turkey ham...

I wonder.. where did the turkey breast went?

The salad selections were also limited..

don't have my favourite sweet corn..

the sauce too!!!!! =(
don't have my ranch dressing.. arghhhh!!

Overall, the sandwich was fresh but the ingredients are not as generous..

Toy Story 3 review

yay! finally managed to watch Toy Story 3 :)

It's nice in a sense that it brings back good ol' memories ..
but, overall I didn't think it was great la.. i mean it's nice but not great
prolly bcoz I expected it to be better :p

One of my fav. character, Ham
quite insignificant in the show though...

Slinky Dog !! =)

kudos for bringing barbie and ken in !

Class ended abit earlier yesterday so we decided to go for dinner @ RedBox Karaoke, the Gardens..
since we have like 3 coupons that we accumulated last time.
The terms n conditions behind the voucher was kinda misleading!!!
>:( it was stated that 'minimum one head charge' but did not mention that only ONE voucher can be used..!!
If i'm not mistaken.. the b'day voucher clearly states that only one voucher per room..but this one... SIGH... =s
Anyway, since we were there dy so we went ahead ~
Unfortunately they chased all of us off b4 12 am...sobs..
:/

Being reluctant to go home
(since we went to class during the day),
since everyone has not been to the cinema for quite awhile now..
we decided to try our luck for midnite movie...

Initially we wanted to watch Prince of Persia or Karate Kids
but as usual on a wkends the tix were sold off..
so we watched A-team instead.

Honestly speaking, it was a good movie..
But but but... I was really too tired and my eyes could hardly open..
(was out since 11+ am)

and the next thing u can figure lar..
i zzZz half way thru the show and woke up watching the
climax of the show..

the ending was pretty good!

anyway... I'm supposed to be studying but too many distraction and i just watched like 8 episodes of drama..
GAH!! ok..back to books... n also drama at the same time *multitasking =p

watched Shutter Island as well last week but I was quite disappointed with the movie.
(sorry f&j , but i really think the show was too slow pace albeit the fact that the movie was rated 8/10 :P )

I give credit for the twist @ the end of the movie...

Basically.. it's a game like what the title of the game sounds like..
plant against zombie!
hahaha...it's a strategy game and I perhaps you would wanna try the game yourself too!

Hello... I'm back from my short trip to JB/SG.
hahaha.. wanna share with you something.. last wed I was happily listen to the mp3 on my way from KL sentral to the airport.. then when I was about to reach the airport.. I switch off my mp3 getting ready to go out.
Few minutes b4 stepping out from the bus, my friend called me.. I was happily talking on the phone.. *slumber-nyaaa...
somemore... I told my friend to call me later coz I was heading towards the check in counter and preparing to check in. While I was walking towards the check in counter.. I felt something wrong... but being the blur sotong I am, I still walk walk walk..

Then..the next moment, something struck my mind..
Sh****ttt !!! I LEFT my baggage on the freakin' bus !!!!
I ran as quick as I could ..

*think threadmill speed 9 *think roadrunner...
*heartbeat rate x500

I called my friend and said..' oiiiihhh... u call me at the *huh huh... wrong time la...!!! I freakin' left my *huh huh baggage on the bus.... ahhh... !!!*huhhh TTYL!!!

*huh huh - tercungap-cungap/ breathless

The moment I ran towards the bus stop I saw a few buses.. I was like.. "crap..! I don't even know which bus did I got unto just now.. die larrr...!!!"
I was looking around hoping to find my bag...
Suddenly.. I saw a few fella waving at me and asked.." Miss... your bag ka?!"
I felt so relieved and delighted.. I apologized and thank them at the same time...

Fiuh...

I quickly grab my baggage and ran back towards the check-in counter..
then ... another staff saw me and said.' o0o0o0... It's yourrssss huh?'
me: 'ya ya... so sorryyyyyy =S"

Really thank God and also the helpful staff.
You see, sometimes a simple favour you did really do brighten ppl's day =)

Tsk... I'm close to losing my baggage and now it is found.

Didn't intend to watch the movie in the 1st place, but after seeing many ppl rambling about how good it is from fb... then.. decided to give it a go!

It is inevitable that sweating in this hot climate is not unusual and the worst scenario is getting an unpleasant body odour.

I guess it's human nature to sweat and who says sweating is not good?
In fact, there are many benefits you can gain from sweating, which explain why people goes to saunas/ jacuzzi/ or by going to gym, etc.

Detox Plan

Tyger and I were walking around in Guardian one day
and she was telling about detoxing for the following week since we had too much GOOD FOOD
over the CNY. We Bought Trudtox which was what Kenny Sia drink as well.

Since I've never try detoxing before, why not? =)
The best bit is we managed to get 2 packets for a cheaper rate.
Anyway, I went back home tried searching on the post that Kennysia wrote on the relevant subject and what impressed me the most is he managed to lost 5 kg in 5 days !!

Since I've gone through the detox plan, let me share with you my experiece here.

Day One

I weigh myself before consuming the tea. (xx kg) =P
The taste of the tea is somewhat like cammomile/herbal tea, so it's bearable..
The hardest thing to sustain is FOOD RESISTANCE...
Before I start this thingy.. I told myself.. I must.. must... only eat organic food.

Breakfast: 2 Persimmons

Snack: Kuih Kapit (love letters biscuits)

Lunch : 2 Bananas

Dinner: Grapes + Organic Soya Milk

*big applause to myself... that was the healthiest meal I had in my entire life.. but I cheated by eating love letters.. =P
But trust me.. those who know me will know how much I love fooddd..
quite torturing lor...

P/S: By the way, I spend alot of time dating with the toilet bowl as well.
=s

Day Two
Breakfast: Organic Soya Milk

Lunch: Beef KimChi Stew + side dishes + kimchi pancake soaked in oil
( Total phail)

Snack: Banana

Dinner: Potato Salad + grapes

My 'date' with the toiletbowl doesn't seems to die down. In fact, I got so sick of 'see-ing' mr.toilet bowl =S

I also realised that I've developed few pimples on my face and also 2 or 3 mouth ulcers.
Not too sure whether the tea itself is heaty or I didn't consume enough water because as far as I am concerned I've drank quite alot of water dy.. hmmm...

In summary, mission for Day Two = half phail.
LoL

Day 3

Breakfast: Organic Soya Milk

Lunch: Honey Pork Rib Rice + Milk Tea + Gui Ling Gao + Creamy Mushroom Soup

(ok..i can imagine your reaction now... hahahaa!)
No choice lar.. Moral of the lesson is plan your detox-plan and stay at HOME + Do Not Go ANYWHERE!
as. in. seriously.

I remembered Tyger and I were watching Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and guess what? We took turns to see 'Mr.toiletbowl' !
=.="

Hai.. tell you something.. my dinner plan also so TAK jadi!!!
Dinner: Unagi Bento Box + watermelon + greentea

(but but but... at least better than lunch lar right?)
=p

Day 4

Well.. my supposedly 5 days detox plan (I mean not-so-jadi-detoxplan) has became 3 days! Because....it's weekend!
Cannot imagine the thought of visiting toilet anymore...
=s

But But But... the toilet still calls me every now and then on Day 4. My Stomach was uncomfy as well and suffers from occasional cramps.

My verdict on this detox plan:

I was xx kg and now I am (xx-1) kg So.. I've managed to lost 1kg in 3 days.
:D

(But I'm back to my old weight dy I supposed..)

Will I do it again?
em, probably.. since I have 2 more packets left. But I guess I felt less bloated.
But I don't think it's a good idea if you're planning on a Strict Detox Plan or Fasting and do it in long term... oh, by the way.. kennysia did a Strict Vege/Fruits Detox which explains the tremendous amount of weight he lost in such a short span of time :)

I am sure most of us have encounter bad experience(s) with people with bad body odour especially by taking public transport =S
The moment you were excited after a long day and managed to hop unto the train or monorail and get a seat...

the next thing you realised is...

weird smellllll ?!

What is worst is that you can't do much about it if it is crowded with people...
all you can do is just bear with it...

and if it happens to be a super long journey..
you'll probably end up like this...

Sometimes I really do wonder if they know they have bad body odour.
The worst scenario is when people tell them about it and they still don't want to do anything about it
=S

Big Sigh...

Anyway, I guess the best solution to conquer bad body odour is not by covering the bad smell with tons and tons of perfume... ( I think the mixture of both smell is going to be pretty disgusting.. =P)

I think the best thing is by using deodorant !

Alice in Wonderland :: Review

Surprisingly, the new rendition of Alice in wonderland is nothing like above.
(cute-sie cute-sie~)

The director has given a new breathe to the show by giving a creepy twist and perhaps some gruesome scene (i.e dormouse poking-out enemy's eye scene and Jabberwocky's head rolling down the stairs =P)

It seems that this movie somewhat link to the original cartoon where in the cartoon, Alice, is still 13 and thought that all the incidents that happened on her were only a dream.

But, at the age of 19, Alice returns to the 'wonderland' and realized that the incidents that happens on her is not a dream after all... and a new adventure awaits her. ( will leave the rest of the details to those who wished to watch =P )

Overall, I think the movie is not bad but not WOW.
But I guess it's something that everyone would want to watch because it somehow rekindle the child-like spirit within =p

Apparently the fish slice can be eaten raw or just put it into the porridge and it will be cooked in a jiffy.
Taste wise ? It's not bad but it's not wow...
the texture of the porridge is smooth and the fish is fresh too!

by the way, I reckon their mixed intestine porridge is pretty good but no picture =p

Apparently the original bak kut teh in Klang is the Mao Shan Gao BKT.
I've tried the ones in Lot 10 Hu Tong...
Instead of serving in Claypot, Mao Shan Gao serves it in a small bowl with very thick broth.
Hopefully next time can try the original Klang version.

The Klang gang were afraid that we couldn't take those kinda strong broth so brought us to Soon Seng instead
to try the wet and dry version.

It is a must try, if you like Burger King's Double Mushroom Swiss burger.

The reason for picking Doraemon's pocket is because it's handy, filled with all sort of gadgets and most importantly...it's not bulky !!!! How can I bring so many things with me when I have to complete my mission in the dark!
*cough..to be precise.. during quiet nights.. when everyone is asleep! :O
Wah...Can you imagine if i bring a toolbox or what trying to collect tooth underneath the pillow.. sure *kling klong kling klong...*

Passed by Tropicana City Mall and saw her big banner.
Susan made her first appearance in Britain's Got Talent last year and wow-ed the crowd with her extraordinary voice, albeit looking ordinary in appearance.

I remember during that period of time, Susan has drawn alot of attention from the crowd not only in UK itself but all over the world!
Even my parents went online searching for her audition video. lol =P

Initially, Stephanie thought of reading law because she thought that she would never have a chance to become a writer. Anyway, she gave up later on after giving birth to her child.
Little did she know that one night, an idea of her dream has turned her dream into a completed novel and also a blockbuster movie!
Albeit the fact that after sending in numerous number of proposals to publish her novel to publishing companies,
most doors were closed but there was ONE positive response. yes..only one opening ..and the rest were disappointments and rejections.
